The scribe of accounts
NISABAA Ltd takes its name from Nisabaa, the Mesopotamian goddess of writing, grain, and the keeping of accounts, among the first beings ever credited with recording what a household owed and owned. Five thousand years on, the work is the same: write it down, write it true.
Why we exist
Accounting practices run on trust. Yet most software hands them a number with no story: a balance that cannot be traced, a journal that cannot be undone. We think that is unacceptable for a profession built on evidence.
So we build tools where the reasoning travels with the result, where a bookkeeper can see why a figure landed where it did, and reverse it without fear.
